Sandcastles and Sea, Oh My!

Yesterday, we went to the sand castle festival in Busan.  We took the KTX down to Gupo station, and from there, we took the subway to Haeundae Beach.  Haeundae is definitely Koreas most popular/famous beach.  So that coupled with the festivities made the beach particularly crowded, but it was still a great opportunity to get out of Daegu and see some awesome sandcastles!

One of the really bizarre things about Korea is that oftentimes people do not wear bathing suits to the beach.  This usually changes as it gets hotter, but for this event, the only people who were in swimming gear were the foreigners.  Kind of strange…
